WSET Level 1 in Wine – ONLINE
A comprehensive online course that covers the same content as our Level 1 classroom course.
Our online course allows for flexible study in your own time from the comfort of your home.
Designed to be done at your own pace, this course can be completed in a day, weeks or months.
All study materials and tutorials are provided online. The course is delivered through a series of online lectures.
Students receive support from a WSET tutor.
Wines are not included.
WSET global qualification.
In this course you will learn:
– How to taste and appreciate different styles of wine
– How to identify certain grape varieties
- The winemaking process
– Service and storage of wines
– Food and wine pairing
Entry Requirements
Students who are under the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in the country where the examination is being held will NOT be allowed to sample any alcoholic beverages as part of their course, but this is not a barrier for successfully completing the qualification.

Level 1 Award in Wines Specification
Exam
Exams are available in person or online. To gain the qualification students need to pass a multiple-choice paper of 30 questions. The examination lasts 45 minutes and candidates need to achieve a minimum of 70% to pass.
